Me & My Girl

Looking down those many roads I have travelled

There are some that merge and some stand in their own

All it takes is just a glimpse of a reminder

That brings them back to me so fast & oh so strong

You could say that life was not so easy for her

So many things kept getting in the way

And though I never heard her shout out her frustration

There is just one thing I'd know she'd love to say

She'd say

Ain't got time to take a slow boat to China

Ain't got time to see the seven wonders of the world

Just a little time is all that I ask for

For me and my girl

The brightness of the day , it took her by surprise

And the way it shone that day

She would take her in her arms and gently rock her

And there's just one thing I know she'd love to say

She never tried to seek any attention

She never sought that spotlight on the floor

And she'd like to be along side her companions

She warmed the hearts of those she held in store

Ain't got time to take a slow boat to China

Ain't got time to see the seven wonders of the world

Just a little time is all that I ask for

For me and my girl

Repeat

Questions

I heard a question

And it took me back in time

How it all came out so naturally

How it was such a simple line   Yeah

She just turned around and said it

With those eyes so open wide

Didn't wait for an answer

She was captivated by the sky

Can you feel the clouds

Can your taste the wind

Can you touch the sun

Tell me where does it all come from

Solo

Well it all came out of nowhere

And it was heard by so few

Sometimes words have so much power

When they're all brand new

I heard a question

And it took me back in time

How it all came out so naturally

How it was such a simple line

Can you feel the clouds

Can your taste the wind

Can you touch the sun

Tell me where does it all come from

Texas Rangers

Texas Rangers, Everyone

Texas Rangers, Riding in the sun

Fighting injustice each & everyday

Texas Rangers, Just like Gus McRae

Sometimes I wish that I was Gus McRae

A Texas Ranger each and everyday

I'd have a rifle & some six guns too

I could do all those things I've always wanted to do

All those little things that happen everyday

Supposed to count to ten and turn the other way

A Texas Ranger doesn't have to be like that

He'd take out his six guns and shoot those tailgaters tyres flat

Texas Rangers, Everyone

Texas Rangers, Riding in the sun

Fighting injustice each & everyday

Texas Rangers, Just like Gus McRae

Solo

Sometimes I wish that I was Gus McRae

A Texas Ranger each and everyday

I'd have a rifle & some six guns too

I could do all those things I've always wanted to do

Texas Rangers, Everyone

Texas Rangers, Riding in the sun

Fighting injustice each & everyday

Texas Rangers, Just like Gus McRae

Martinborough Morning

There's a crystal sky that's blue and a low mist on the ground

The birds are waking in this peaceful little town

The coffees perking and the bacons on the grill

I've been driving for hours from the other side of the hill

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm leaving all my trouble behind there's a new day dawning

I see that fire as I walk on through the door

It feels like home though I've never been here before

It's mighty warming as I hear those guitars strum

And we're all waiting for the rising of the sun

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm leaving all my trouble behind there's a new day dawning

All those names up on that memorial stone

At the edge of the square all those memories stand alone

Of local folk from days gone by

They crossed the water and they gave up their lives

So much has changed in this sleepy little town

From sheep to cafes and the wine of world renown

Local folks a plenty seeking refuge from the din

And they're all waking to the rising of the sun

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun one Martinborough morning

I'm leaving all my trouble behind there's a new day dawning

I'm leaving all my trouble behind there's a new day dawning

I'm leaving all my trouble behind there's a new day dawning

Look Out for Number One

These lyrics will be uploaded soon

Every Time I Think of You

Sometimes it seems so  long

Since I held you in my arms

I miss those eyes that can light up my heart

Every time you look at me

No Rainbows I need to chase

The world is a better place

Every time I think of you

Anytime it gets you down

I am here to take your call

No matter what, I’ll make the time

We can talk it through till dawn

I know it feels like you're in nowhere land

You gotta believe me You’re gonna make it through this time

No Rainbows I need to chase

The world is a better place

Every time I think of you

I know there's been some hard times

Over the years

But you're taking it in your stride

There's no pot of gold worth chasing for

When we're all in it for the ride

No Rainbows I need to chase

The world is a better place

Every time I think of you

No Rainbows I need to chase

The world is a better place

Every time I think of you

New Years Resolution

Here we go again, round and round again

Seems like we've been this place before

Up and down again, round about again

How many times you’ve picked me off the floor

Yeah I think it's time to change

Wake up a new day, try to rearrange

All that overdone repetition too

I’d be lost without you

Can you take a chance, yeah just one more chance

Can you take a chance on me

I’m up for the ride, this chance can't be denied

C’mon baby save my misery

I know I been this place before

And I can count the times, you picked me off the floor

More than once or twice, with no criticising

Baby I can't live without your love

Here we go again, round and round again

Seems like we've been this place before

Up and down again, round about again

C’mon baby, don't show me the door

Yeah I think it's time to change

Wake up a new day, try to rearrange

All that overdone repetition too

I’d be lost without you

I think it's time to change

Wake up a new day, try to rearrange

All that overdone repetition too

I’d be lost without you

I’d be lost without you

C’mon baby save me do

West Coast Sunsets

Day lights fading, getting colder

Shadows are longer, over me

Watching Sunsets over Kapiti

I feel like walking, down to the sands

I feel like walking, hand in hand

With my baby, I'm a lucky man

West Coast sunsets

Always do it for me

Sitting gazing, for miles out to sea

All those colours

Washing all around me

Solo

West Coast sunsets

Always do it for me

Sitting gazing, for miles out to sea

All those colours

Falling all around me

White caps smoothing , Waters calming

The sun is dancing, from sky to sea

All those colours falling all around me

West Coast sunsets

Always do it for me

Sitting gazing, for miles out to sea

All those colours

Washing all around me

On My Mind

I heard some talking

The other day on the line

Not very clear, but I think it's the time

To take stock of what's going on

Know what road you're on

You're on my mind

I guess you've been my hurting

For a while, so they say

It ain't no surprise from what I heard the other day

How can I help you to see when you're

So far away from me

You're on my mind

You're on my mind

It was a dozen years ago

when you left home to find your own way

And I wish you all the good things you can find

No matter what you may say or may do

There's a big love here always thinking of you

So follow your heart each day let your

Dreams show you the way

You're on my mind

You're on my mind

You're on my mind

You're on my mind

Down to the River

Lyrics downloaded very soon

Dance in the Rain

If the sun don't shine on my back today

If the birds don't sing and I don't get paid

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

If the train is late, the power is down

the bridge is out and I can't get to town

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

Spent too much time waiting for the sun

Sitting waiting for,all those good times to come

When my baby’s late nothing's going right

I don't care if it's day or night

I’m gonna dance in the rain

I’m gonna dance in the rain

Solo

Spent too much time waiting for the sun

Sitting waiting for,all those good times to come

Well they're here right now, come what may

I don't care what the people say

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain

I’m gonna Dance in the rain
